National chartered surveying and construction project management firm, Silverstone Building Consultancy, has appointed a new surveyor at its Newcastle office.

Silverstone has appointed Jade Cutmore as graduate surveyor which brings the company headcount to 16 people, working across three offices in Newcastle, Leeds and London.

Jade, 22, from Gateshead, has a BSc Hons degree in Building Surveying from Northumbria University and will be working towards her RICS Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) at Silverstone.

She is currently assisting on dilapidations surveys, building and site surveys, schedules of conditions, reinstate cost assessments and investigating defects within buildings. Jade will move on to assisting on the management of commercial property construction projects, including new-builds, extensions and fit-outs.

She said: “I feel extremely privileged and proud to gain my first experience within the industry with Silverstone which is well-respected and has some high-profile clients. From the first contact, the team instantly made me feel at ease and welcomed. I’m grateful for the opportunity to start my career and expand my knowledge.”

Richard Farrey, director at Silverstone Building Consultancy, said: “Jade brings a great energy and I’m sure she will prove to be a valuable part the Newcastle team.”

Silverstone’s clients include Hitachi, British Land, Leopard Capital, Glenbrook, Harworth Group Plc, Leeds Bradford Airport, The Inn Collection Group, Motorpoint, Womble Bond Dickinson and a number of education trusts.
